Nutrition in CKD – Educational programme

About the Programme

The Educational Programme, run by MphaR and sponsored by AstraZeneca, will provide education about nutrition with the maintenance of diet for CKD patients.

This programme is aimed at nurses, nephrologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals and will take place in a virtual format. It will consist of online/pre-recorded video lectures delivered by top experts in the field, and non-promotional educational quizzes. There will be also a live webinar that will take place on Saturday, 4 May 2024 7:00-8:30 (UTC-6) (7:00-8:30 Mexico time / 8:00-9:30 Colombia time / 9:00-10:30 Chile/Bolivia time / 10:00-11:30 Argentina/Brazil time).

After the end of the programme, the participants should:

Understand kidney function
Understand the risk factors, comorbidities, and complications of CKD
Understand the impact of CKD on sufferers
Know the nutritional strategy approach and screening tools for CKD patients
Know the nutritional guidelines and recommendations for CKD patients
Be familiar with the conservative nutritional management of CKD in patients without Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT)
Be familiar with the nutritional approach in renal replacement therapy (RRT) patients
